Data Analyst Needed for Excel Data Cleaning & Sales Reporting

Summary

We are looking for a data analyst who can clean and organize an Excel sales dataset containing around 5,000 rows.

The data includes sales dates, customer names, products, quantities, prices, and sales regions. Before the file can be used for reporting, it needs to be cleaned and properly organized.

The main goal is to turn the existing data into a clean, reliable and easy-to-use Excel file while keeping the original data untouched.

The cleaned workbook should also include a simple summary showing overall sales performance, regional sales, top products and monthly results.

  1. Strong Excel experience
  2. Experience with data cleaning and organization
  3. Ability to work with large Excel datasets
  4. Remove duplicate records
  5. Handle missing and inconsistent values
  6. Standardize date formats
  7. Standardize text and number formats
  8. Convert numbers stored as text into proper numeric values
  9. Create calculated columns for total sales and profit
  10. Create and organize Excel tables
  11. Experience with Excel formulas
  12. Experience with PivotTables
  13. Ability to create simple and useful reports
  14. Basic chart creation
  15. Good attention to detail
  16. Ability to maintain the original data separately
  17. Ability to deliver a clean and easy-to-use workbook
