Prompt Engineer with Mechanical / Civil / Aerospace Engineering Background
Summary
We are looking for a Prompt Engineer with a strong engineering background to support an AI work-trial and evaluation project.
This role is not only about writing prompts. You should be able to understand engineering problems, review AI-generated solutions, check the technical reasoning and calculations, and identify where an AI response is wrong, incomplete or based on a weak assumption.
You will create prompts for AI agents that are solving technical engineering problems. The prompts should clearly explain the requirements, assumptions, constraints and expected output so that the AI can produce useful engineering work.
You will also review different AI-generated solutions and compare their approaches to determine which one is technically stronger.
A background in Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering is important for this project. Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI evaluation or technical QA is a strong plus.
- Strong Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering background
- Good understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Experience reviewing technical calculations and reasoning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify incorrect assumptions and technical errors
- Ability to write clear and precise prompts
- Understanding of LLMs and AI agents
- Prompt engineering experience
- AI output evaluation experience is a plus
- Technical QA experience is a plus
- Ability to compare different engineering approaches
- Strong written communication
