Summary

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to update an existing Android application to the latest development tools and prepare it for release.

This is a maintenance and modernization project with no new feature development. The primary focus is upgrading the existing application, resolving compatibility issues, migrating outdated libraries and APIs, and ensuring the application works reliably on recent Android releases.

The work includes upgrading to the latest libraries and Google's current build platform, migrating to current recommended versions of Android APIs and services such as Google Pay, Google Maps, and related SDKs, and resolving UI layout and functionality issues on recent Android versions.

The ideal developer should be highly experienced in debugging existing Android applications, handling deprecated APIs and version migrations, resolving UI layout problems, and performing thorough testing across recent Android versions.

Some migrations may require significant code changes or rework, particularly where older payment or platform integrations have changed.

The final objective is to deliver a clean, stable, tested, and release-ready Android application.
