Fractional Head of Engineering – AI & Computer Vision

Summary

`CoreTherm Aerial, LLC is building MODO, an AI-powered learning platform, and ATLAS, a data storage system designed to analyze the built environment using radiometric thermal imagery, geospatial data, engineering analysis, computer vision, and longitudinal asset intelligence.

We are looking for a highly experienced Fractional Head of Engineering to lead our existing four-person technical team and turn our technical vision into disciplined execution.

The immediate goals are: * October 1, 2026 – Complete a working Proof of Concept using real CoreTherm data. * November 1, 2026 – Deliver a functional MODO MVP with a repeatable workflow from data ingestion to engineering intelligence output.

The Head of Engineering will assess the current architecture and development effort, identify gaps and blockers, establish the critical path, assign ownership, and drive the team toward these milestones.

Responsibilities include technical architecture, engineering standards, documentation, code reviews, testing, technical decision-making, team leadership, and translating product vision into clear technical requirements.

Strong experience in AI/ML, computer vision, data pipelines, cloud architecture, Python, GIS, geospatial systems, remote sensing, scientific computing, imagery datasets, and technical product architecture is highly valued.
